			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>UrbanYOUTHMovement is back!  Following the overwhelming response from over 100 young people who wished to participate in the 2009 UYM project and the success of YOU BETTER RUN BOY! Black Grace is pleased to announce its 2010 UYM project!  Choreographer and Artistic Director, Neil Ieremia will further develop the themes explored in YOU BETTER RUN BOY! culminating in a Studio Series of performances at the Black Grace studio in downtown Auckland.<br />
The UYM project is a rich and complex mentoring programme that in addition to teaching movement and performance skills, also teaches vital life skills that will benefit the participants well beyond the actual project.<br />
Auditions are on the  1 and 2 May, at the Black Grace studio from 10am &#8211; 4pm (you must be available both days).  To register please email wendy@blackgrace.co.nz with your full name, age, gender, name of school or university you attend, email address and phone contact.<br />
Previous dance training is not necessary – we are looking for young people (16 – 21 years of age) with good attitudes, willing to work hard and learn new skills.</p>
<p>Places are strictly limited so register quickly to avoid disappointment!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Black Grace have now had their opening performance of the <a href="http://www.blackgrace.co.nz/current-production/">2010 US and Canada tour</a> &#8211; opening at the Leeward Community Theater in Honolulu, Hawaii.  The performance went very well, complete with an oversold audience!  Directly after the performance, Michael Pili Pang, Director of the Mayors Office of Culture and Arts, on behalf of the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, presented Neil Ieremia and the Company with a proclamation stating that February 6th 2010 is officially &#8216;Black Grace Day&#8217; in Honolulu!  This is a huge honour for Neil and Black Grace &#8211; and the Company would like to thank everyone involved with this, especially Vicky Holt Takamine and her Halau, and Joe Patti and crew of Leeward Community Theater for their hospitality during our stay in Honolulu.<br />
The Company are now looking forward to their performance in Maui!</p>
