AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Internationally renowned Pacific Contemporary Dance Company Black Grace is holding an open audition for contracts from January to March 2012. Black Grace are looking for two male dancers and one female dancer.

Audition Details:
Date: Saturday 10th December 2011
Place: Black Grace Studio, 14 Akepiro Street, Mount Eden, Auckland
Time: 11am start, registration from 10.15am

If interested, please send a copy of your CV and photograph to admin@blackgrace.co.nz by Wednesday 23rd November.
Dancers must be New Zealand residents and aged 18+

Black Grace is proud to announce a new performance season titled ‘Verse 2′, playing at The Opera House, Wellington and the Maidment Theatre, Auckland. This exciting production is a collection of new and existing short works all choreographed by Founder and Artistic Director Neil Ieremia, including the provocative new work titled ‘The Nature Of Things’, which features live music composed and performed by acclaimed Samoan harpist Natalia Mann. The first part of our ‘Verses’ National Tour went off with a flying start; a sold-out performance in Whangarei, two great performances in Kerikeri, and a crowd of over 600 people at the Dargaville Town Hall. Next up the Company will be performing in Hamilton at the WEL Energy Trust Academy of Performing Arts, Waikato University from the 3-7 May. Black Grace is pleased to announce an Audition date in Wellington!
Black Grace is holding an open audition for a 19-week contract commencing in January 2011. We are looking for two male dancers and one female dancer.

UrbanYOUTHMovement Auditions

Black Grace will be holding auditions for the 2011 performance season of UrbanYOUTHMovement for young people aged between 16 and 21 who are interested in participating in this reputable project.

When: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd January
Where: Black Grace Studio
Level 3, 10 Customs Street East
Downtown Auckland

To receive an application form please email your interest to admin@blackgrace.co.nz by Friday 10th December 2010. Audition spaces are limited, so please register early.

Rehearsals
Below is a basic outline of the rehearsal and performance schedule, participants in the auditions must be aware that the project requires a heavy commitment.

January: 24th -30th January, full-time rehearsals
February: 3- 4 weeknights and weekend rehearsals
March: 1st- 19th performance season (this will require several days off school).
